And the partially built luxury gated community on the edge of Kandahar with gushing fountains & palace like apartments is the best example of the obscene rampant corruption that made a small group rich while the rest stayed dirt poor and brought about the old government’s demise.

All the Taleban security men at Kandahar airport seem to be wandering around in the nice military fatigues left behind by the Americans & their allies after the Western pull out and old government collapsed.
