To their credit though, they said if I sent them the submission ID, they would transfer it to the new account I created. But still I ask you WHY

TOO REAL! I just got a pub accepted & was like welp 4 of these people are now retired.
I generally find that creative things help me cope - like with the loss of all of my NIH grant funding. So, with help of chatGPT, I wrote a movie pitch about a group of queer and trans faculty who lose their funding and the lengths they will go to to re-fund it. Will add some snippets below.
Instead of starting meetings by asking people, “How’s it going?” I’ve just decided to start asking, “How are the horrors treating you today?”
