While I've known about Queens link for a long time, I recently learned about this study.

Basically 400k is ear marked for a feasibility and cost study of reactivating the Far Rockway LIRR as a subway line. The catch the volunteer team behind the project also has to fund about 100k.

Honestly what scares me more at the moment is he's a primary favorite unless Andrew Cuomo joins the race this year ... If that's the best we have NYC we're not even trying.
