We need to be loud about the things we love.
We need to be loud about our favorite books, movies, songs, art; we need to shout them from the rooftops. Because you know who’s always loud? People who hate things.
In this algorithm that rewards negativity, let’s be loud enough to drown the hatred.

Excerpt from first page of querying novel, "The Fork in the Road" Excerpt reads: I’ve lost Bette’s scent. I close my eyes and shift my features for better focus. My nose itches as it stretches, the nostrils simultaneously lengthening and flattening. Tawny fur sprouts over my reformed skin and browbone. It’s dark and the street’s quiet; no one will see the change. The city sharpens. Damp earth, muddy grass, and sweat from crowded bodies linger in the crisp air. But I can’t smell her. I twitch my nose and restore it to human form, smooth and tan once more. The storm that flooded the Appalachian foothills, unleashing mudslides and chasing me to her mother’s house, didn’t cover Bette’s scent. That only happened recently. Her kidnappers are sidhe, stealing a child for their own amusement. The rowan berries smashed on Minnie’s lawn and the stale tang of lake reeds proved that. They led her through rivers and on trains to disguise their route, but Bette dropped clues in their wake. She must have bitten her mouth or nails raw to manage it, but trees, posts, flyers, grass, and rail seats alike were marked with her blood. I could follow their trail, despite being weeks behind, until now.

Of course! Like someone else said, it wouldn’t be Lost Boys without him
Talk about the stuff you create. Promote your stuff. Repost your stuff. Catapult your stuff into people's faces. Drop your stuff from a helicopter and shout about it through a megaphone to everyone.
Never feel bad about sharing your stuff. You're doing it. You created it. That's no small thing dude
Can confirm the sax man is there! This show knows what it’s about
I saw it on Monday and it is so good!! The staging and effects are incredible and the cast all have excellent chemistry with one another. (They know what they’re doing with the bisexual lighting, okay?)
Apparently there is now a Lost Boys musical. It becomes clear to me that I must go to New York to *checks notes* promote… my new novel. Yes. That’s reasonable. That’s a legitimate professional reason!
Writing is hard. Not writing is harder.
you ever notice how media uses this weird framing when talking about men and boys?
it's always, "hmm, women are doing better according to this specific metric. how do we help men get back on top?"
Resharing months later bc it relates directly to what I said earlier about asexual authors not being safe from censorship/pornography bans.

Please join on any initiative to impeach and remove the President for his actions and words today. These are war crimes.
www.npr.org/2026/04/07/n...
The office is open and taking calls.
The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it.
This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this.
Due to…certain misapprehensions in LONG LIVE EVIL, here I dig into what it means to love a book character become real. Is this your velveteen rabbit, is it like being parasocial with a celebrity, is reciprocity possible? What to do when the comforts & dangers of fiction crash into reality? #booksky
a) thank you b) it is a trilogy! All will be *remembers title of book 3* … oh well.
On this International Asexuality Day, in the midst of the Artemis II flight, I'm reposting my flash fiction piece featuring an explicitly ace-interpreted Artemis.

Me: *in tears* It's so amazing that all of humanity has set aside their differences to partake in this amazing scientific expedition, isn't it amazing, Fiasco?

Key and Rae from LONG LIVE EVIL by lyyzis_art
Hope it’s a very good #fanartfriday. So nervous about ALL HAIL CHAOS coming (next month!) & I must share as when I saw it all my worries blew away with delight. Love Rae’s artfully placed chain, the petals, the blood & the sense of fun & intensity (Key is holding onto her & the sword so tight)!
A coffee mug and a book on a table. The mug features the PM announcement of Danai’s book, Vile Lady Villains, and next to it is the hardback cooy of the book
My book is out today in the UK! If you like Shakespeare, this book might be for you. If you hate Shakespeare, this book might be for you.
But if you hate Agamemnon… this book is definitely for you!

Probably he feels like he’s cheating because he’s cheating… funny how that works!
I am so anti-AI, I have stopped using word databases because they added AI. Do not make these assumptions about professional creatives.
Lots of tech dudes think the "idea" is the important part of creating, not the creative journey you take through work to give that idea actual meaning. Ideas are the easiest, cheapest and least fulfilling part of it. Giving ideas life through work, and sharing that work with others, is the stuff.
I will gladly join you in assuming, since it very much is a believable reaction!
I am gathering these spoilers and piecing this interaction together in my head with perhaps too much enthusiasm!
Not an April Fool’s. Just another lil evil taster for ALL HAIL CHAOS. Wonder who he’s talking to and if they do, oh well anyway, you’ll know soon! #booksky
Don’t know whether I should panic or excitedly scream! Which is most likely the goal here
For a while I've been seeing variations upon "I only use AI to brainstorm ideas!!!", and I'm really starting to wonder what it is these people think the chatbots are providing that is simultaneously (a) beyond my brainstorming with a pen, paper, and my own imagination and cognition,
Marius Valerius, character from the book Long Live Evil, black hair ending in white, a white knight

Lil evil taste of what’s to come. Everything’s going to go great! Anyway I have a pet peeve about people who make grandiose proclamations of love and then don’t mean them. Like okay sir shake the earth to its foundations! Haunt me then! Or else. #booksky
