With AS396986 Bytedance traffic returned, can we assume that American TikTok users are now secure because the US government has finally listened to its IT help desk? 😝

In the end the American TikTok ban was less downtime than:

* the 1997 AS7007 igp/egp deaggregation route leak.

* the 2008 AS17557 Pakistan Telecom route leak of YouTube routes.

* the 2019 AS33154 DQE route optimizer leak thru AS701 Verizon.

Because of yesterday’s decision by Zuckerberg and Meta to end their fact-checking program, I feel like I’m finally free to say anything here about #IXP’s, or peering, or interconnections. Anyone else waking up to this feeling?
