Oftentimes I just shout into the void. Whether anyone listens is inconsequential.

Made a burrito yesterday and sat down to play Civ with friends.

EF4 tornado spawned out of nowhere and headed for Columbus.

Took shelter immediately.

Went back upstairs after the tornado.

Apartment was fine. Car was fine. Civ had crashed. And my burrito was cold.

Not a fan.

Got a dozen oatmeal raisin cookies for a dollar at Walmart.

I now know why they were worth a dollar.

Cool Bug Fact:

The hairs ok a caterpillar are not there for warmth. Sometimes (rarely) they are there for camouflage. Most times, they’re urticating hairs, and they’re mildly to majorly venomous.

Minecraft may use the metric system, but at least Terraria allows you to calculate acceleration due to gravity without using pixel measurements.

Currently reading Count of Monte Cristo, and it’s now my second-favorite Dumas book behind Three Musketeers (which isn’t objectively better, but it is fun). Don Quixote is hilarious even outside its social context imo. Read that one when I got to Spain on my reading list.

Y’ever try freezing it? It comes out like gelato.

My body is getting old and grumpy. Dodgeball with my students has thus far required two days’ recovery.

I will consider my life complete when I find the perfect jerky.

The more I look at the state of our current culture, the more I think we’re absolutely ready for another wave of pirate movies.
