Can’t remember the last time I updated y’all on it, but I weighed myself today, and I’m down, conservatively, 90 pounds from when I started losing weight 2 years ago or so. About 10 pounds short of my goal but I’m still quite happy at the progress I’ve made

Watched As Tear Goes By last night, Wong Kar-wai's first film. It was good, sad, one of those very nihilistically-toned movies. Acting was very very good as well. I do always enjoy watching movies about the organized crime culture in other countries, so that was a plus

I liked this movie, though I think it needs a second watch. It deserves one. Have a lot of thoughts about it that need some sorting
It is a good moment for it, but the interesting thing is that the movie has a normal title card that shows during the opening credits, so it’s not even like it’s the *only* title card in the whole movie
Stalker having a random title card drop an entire hour into the film is a crazy, interesting choice
I definitely noticed that it’s quite slow (and weird) early on, but I’ve been watching a lot of old films recently that are slow and long, so I’m okay with it. Also why I’ve been splitting up my viewing of them haha

Started Tarkovsky’s “Stalker” last night, will probably finish it tonight. Might watch a Wong Kar-wai film next
