With a lot of processing, it’s possible to produce intoxicating cannabinoids from hemp. Lots of companies are making sketchy intoxicating products this way.

All hemp distillates are refined from crude extracts, which contain more than 0.3% THC and way more than 0.4mg of THC per container. These would be illegal Schedule 1 drugs under the new law.
Will broad spectrum CBD distillate be readily available after the hemp ban takes effect in November?
I know broad spectrum will be legal to sell, but i'm concerned that it will be impossible to legally manufacture due to the new THC limits on intermediates (concentrates used by manufacturers).
Vermont's Agriculture committee is poised to reshape hemp product regulations, aiming to protect small producers while navigating the complexities of federal changes!

My testimony about hemp legislation made the news! Apparently the article was written by AI, but it’s surprisingly accurate.
I’m hoping Vermont can create regulations that would allow me to sell my CBD products at least within the state, even if interstate sales are banned.🤞
Yesterday I testified in front of the Vermont House Agriculture Committee about a bill to regulate hemp.
Unfortunately, if the federal hemp ban kicks in as planned in November, the bill as passed by the Senate will criminalize most CBD products in Vermont. 👇
Unfortunately, most CBD products will become illegal Schedule 1 drugs in November.
It really sucks. Hundreds of small businesses will close, thousands will lose the jobs, and thousands will lose their medicine and have to resort to higher risk drugs to manage their medical conditions. So many will suffer, and its all so unnecessary.

Gov. Evers’ letter to Wisconsin’s congressional delegation
If Congress fails to act, virtually all hemp products will be banned by November. Consumable hemp has a $700 million economic impact in Wisconsin—this could put jobs at risk.
I'm urging federal leaders to fix this problem and protect our farmers and producers. Read my letter ⬇️
Also, real plant medicine is never tasteless! CBD oil can vary in flavor (some extraction methods result in very bitter oils), but all high quality CBD oils will have a grassy, earthy, bitter, or hempy taste.
The paler a CBD oil is, the more intensively it has been processed. A good full-spectrum oil will be dark in color, because it’s rich in active ingredients.
CBD isolate, which is the CBD molecule alone without any other compounds, is colorless. If your CBD oil is clear or pale, that’s a good indication that its made with CBD isolate and includes none of the other hemp compounds.
CBD is just one of hundreds of cannabinoids, plus the hemp flower contains many other beneficial ingredients, such as terpenes, flavonoids, fatty aids, and chlorophyll. A high quality, full spectrum CBD oil retains most of these beneficial compounds.
Is your CBD oil pale and almost tasteless? You don’t want this!
Clear or pale CBD oil has been heavily processed to remove most of the beneficial compounds in the hemp flower. The hemp plant contains a multitude of biologically active compounds, most of which interact with the human body.
Did you read the article? It doesn’t say anything about people using their SNAP benefits to buy hemp products.
The hemp ban language was included in a bill to reopen the federal government and re-establish SNAP benefits.
Please stop or delay the hemp ban! There’s no reason that a non-intoxicating CBD salve for arthritis should be more illegal than cocaine, methamphetamine, or fentanyl.
Ugh, this is terrible news 😞
U.S. Capitol building
Did you know that even non-intoxicating CBD products like we make will no longer be available come November?
If you want to keep your access to CBD, reach out to your Congressional reps. this week and tell them to delay the hemp ban.

The status of recreational and medical cannabis in legal states will not be changed by this legislation.
The new law severely restricts THC in hemp products to the point that almost all CBD products will become illegal.

The new legislation (passed in November) will ban anything containing more than 0.4mg of THC per container, which includes all naturally produced, full spectrum CBD products.
Strict limits on intermediates (used by manufacturers, not sold to consumers) could impact food/fiber markets as well.
Most hemp products will become illegal in November.

At doses of CBD less than 300mg daily, med interactions are generally not clinically significant (according to this study ⬇️). I would still use caution w/ blood thinners, chemo, seizure meds, & immunologic meds.

My husband’s Global Entry was revoked after he was arrested at a Black Lives Matter protest. When I tried to renew mine a couple of months later, I was denied. No reason given.
It varies by state. Vermont banned intoxicating hemp products years ago. We have legal cannabis, though! It’s only sold in licensed dispensaries.
In Vermont, only hemp products are allowed to be sold outside of dispensaries - no weed (yet!).
