Humanity has two universal true adversaries: death and disease. All the rest are manmade. I’m betting on ASI to help us collectively come to this realization; that, or the aliens.
One of the very worst myths in western civilization is the desire for retirement. It would be much healthier (for the individual and society) to consider lifespan as a state of continuous engagements and growth.
Once more people begin thinking natively-AI, I predict anxiety of machine takeover will reduce. The real threat will remain human nature.
In the last few months boundaries between creative practice, engineering and entrepreneurship have all but disappeared for me. If coding originally presented me with a multidimensional paintbrush, AI is unlocking an ultra-dimensional wand.
It’s a general purpose AI framework.
Been very, very busy with some new software dev projects.
New work in a new show - a 14 minute AI and generative video @iragreenberg.bsky.social is in this show, too.
Building software now (w AI) feels like playing old text adventure games (e.g., Zork). Sitting at a coffee shop, people watching me from a distance probably think I'm gaming, as I'm so completley caught up in the drama of this emergent, unfolding adventure.
Creative coding is now fully realized!
Throughout 2025, I plan to drop longer form, narrated demonstrations on new ProtoByte features.

Gearing up for an an insanely ambitious project developing an open source, modular agentic platform, combining tons of frameworks. The goal is both to learn the complete stack and hopefully create something useful.
There is no bigger dopamine spike for me than complex learning curves.

By providing a specialized, TypeScript-native solution for soft-body physics and interactive mesh manipulation, ProtoByte.ts offers something unique and valuable to the web graphics community.'
8/
The library fills a gap between:
Full game engines (Babylon.js)
General graphics libraries (Three.js)
Physics engines (Matter.js, Cannon.js)
7/
Developer-Friendly:
Clear separation of concerns
Modular architecture
Extensible base classes
Well-documented code
Easy integration with Three.js
6/
Novel Features:
Integrated normal map generation
Smart texture mapping on deforming surfaces
Intuitive mesh rotation system
Influence radius for node manipulation
Built-in visualization tools
5/
Specialized Niche:
While Three.js and Babylon.js are general-purpose engines ProtoByte.ts focuses on a specific, underserved area
Perfect for creative coding and interactive art
Optimized for soft-body simulations
Easy-to-use API for complex physics
4/
Modern TypeScript-First Architecture:
Clean, type-safe codebase from the ground up
Strong OOP principles with clear inheritance
Well-defined interfaces and abstract classes
Modern ES6+ features and patterns
Excellent IDE support and autocompletion
3/
Unique Focus on Soft-Body Physics:
Native verlet integration
Real-time deformable meshes
Intuitive node-based interaction system
Specialized for organic, blob-like forms
Built-in UV coordinate handling for deforming textures

'Yes, absolutely! ProtoByte.ts has several unique characteristics that make it a valuable contribution to the web graphics ecosystem:

It's important to regularly question your assumptions:
Me:
'Will my ProtoByte.ts native TypeScript library be a valuable contribution to the available web-based graphics libraries?'

As I develop the library, I will be releasing #GenerativeArt projects that coincide with minor (Scyphozoa.01) and major internal library milestones, with the expectation of an eventual release of the library to the #creativecoding community for general open-source use.
2/
ProtoByte.ts is an open-source creative coding library with advanced physics functionality. The initial release will be integrated with @threejs with plans to eventually support other libraries such as @p5jsArt ad @babylonjs.

I'm going to burn down www.fxhash.xyz/generative/3... end of day (MST), so if interested in collecting the genesis ProtoByte.ts token for 1 tz, please do so today.
3/
Regardless, geometry in ProtoByte will be fundamentally soft-body , enabling both interactivity and collision response.
Fun, right?
2/
Also, considering enabling different starting forms such as tetrahedron and icosahedron, which can also be subdivided to approximate spheres, with different node distributions.

ProtoByte.ts notes:
Interactive squareSphere implementation. The form is based on a cube that may be subdivided to approximate a sphere. Internal structural supports help the form return to its original state after deformation.
Happy Holidays!
A small token of my enormous appreciation !

But I don’t use it to make life easier, nor do I want a “perfect” AI (despite my human hallucinations).
What I want is an AS—a collaborative, imperfect generative medium that supports my self-actualization and, most importantly, keeps me deeply and passionately engaged with life.
