I won't be attending #dinocon in person this year, but stop by @thylacereal.bsky.social 's stall to see some of my new designs alongside their lovely plushies!

Some pixel art I made for Digimon Adventure TCG (romhack of Pokemon TCG for the GBC). There's 7 colours on these bad boys.

is it time to bust out my "bigfoot is bears" photo collection again? if your mental image of a bear is a thick-furred, fat glossy male bear in autumn, you're probably not prepared for how weird their proportions can look in spring, or when walking upright, like they frequently do.

I always wanted to ask if Duster’s wings ever healed and straightened back out after being snatched like that! Poor dude just can’t catch a break!

I wish I knew what company they were with for a more targeted message but they didn’t say. Just be careful everyone :(

Specifically via a phone call the dude said said
“Why not raise rent..?”
“Yeah it’s likely to force them out.
But we’ll get new renters.
“Well, just do what you can. Raise the rent and force them out.”

Then they hung up >.>

If you live in the southeastern area of Michigan and your rent suddenly increases…

I heard three douchebags talking about raising the renters rent to “force them out”

Be wary might be worth looking into why your rent suddenly went up…

Researchers found a spoon's worth of nanoplastics in human brains — the latest evidence that plastic is accumulating in our bodies

Researchers found a spoon's worth of nanoplastics in human brains — the latest evidence that plastic is accumulating in our bodies

We have a spoon's worth of nanoplastics in our brains and nobody is being held accountable. Petrochemical giants made billions of dollars poisoning us. This is a result of decades of industrial deregulation, corporate malfeasance, and systemic failure to protect public health.

This is what the GOP wants, and they want to keep you down. Stay strong. Rest when you need it. We won’t give in to these fascists, bigots, and racists. Too many loved ones depend on us.

NASA did a feature on me last year. It was up this weekend but now when you click on the link you get a 404 message.

A mysteriously large pterosaur finally has an identity A Jurassic pterosaur fossil, known to paleontologists for over 160 years, isn’t a new species. It is an odd specimen of Rhamphorhynchus muensteri.

A nice little article about my recent paper with @skyemcdavid.com on a giant Rhamphorhynchus at the @nhm-london.bsky.social: www.sciencenews.org/article/jura...

Wanna see something REALLY cool?

This Bristletail of the Order Archeognatha is an ancient insect that evolved around the same time as the Arachnids. And they live here, in Ireland.

You can find them on seashores, under stones and driftwood. Usually accompanied by Sea Slaters and Amphipods.

Among the most agile of flying creatures, dragonflies have evolved to perform quick aerial maneuvers both to attract mates and to catch prey midair.

Now, researchers have documented and explained a unique stunt the insects perform so quickly most people never see it. scim.ag/40mKKBI

Very interesting paper! It's also a fantastic example of how museum collections (including acquisition of "common" species over time) can inform scientific research in ways that other data sources can't.

If you are a TTRPG designer who can’t afford to pay an artist living wages it is 100% cool and good and AWESOME to use resources like this so you can create a world you’re proud of looks cool.
