Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”
Not a god damned thing. A failure to hold rapists and murders to account from the top down.
And, BTW, I begrudgingly admit that you’re not wrong.
Thanks for taking your valuable time to address this obviously critical matter. So grateful for this welcome back to Bluesky.
A beautiful black Coachwhip visited this morning and was not at all interested in leaving. Got absolutely snippy when I tried to point them to the exit.
I’ve emailed the league for comment. There’s still time to fix this.
Firing Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the head of the BLS, is like…
…blaming the scoreboard when your team is losing.
…shooting the weather man for a rainy day.
…unplugging a smoke alarm to extinguish a fire.
…trying to drive a car blindfolded.
…smashing a thermometer because you don’t like the temp.

Yeah, I know. Our patio is a mess and we need to sweep.
Surprised to see three sets of eyes staring in through the window this morning. How did they fit into into the Saguaro boot! They winked, panted, rested, and bobbed under our back porch all day. Dad kept a watchful eye and chirped alerts each time a th Cooper’s Hawk perched nearby.
I’m grateful that mother screech owl allowed me to snap a few shots of her under our porch earlier this week.

Must be crowded in the Saguaro. Mom perched under our patio all afternoon.
A scorcher for sure!
Looked like a really bright satellite, had a halo surround it for a few seconds as it continued east

Finally met our backyard neighbor! Last week I noticed the Western Screech Owl poking her head out of a Gila Woodpecker hole in the Saguaro we call “Agudo.” Went out this evening in hopes of seeing her and lucked out! I may have have woke her up 😬Maybe we’ll get to meet some owlets soon?!

Absolutely giddy to see this guy. We’ve heard this Western Screech Owl after dark lately. Tonight I saw it swoop in out of the corner of my eye. Funny how my brain immediately recognized that this wasn’t one of our other routine feathered visitors. Long exposure and heavily processed. Love these!

Beyond grateful.
It’s been months and then some since our last rainy day. ☔️
I am grateful for the sacrifice of the Ukrainian people and their President. It was they whom were disrespected today.

Oh, Mapquest… How you doin’?😉
It was. Gabe was such a positive force
Finally hiked Davidson Canyon from the Gabe Zimmerman trailhead. Still. So. Very. Dry. Here :-( Sad to learn that we tragically lost Gabe in the horrific shooting that killed five others and injured 13 here, including Gabrielle Giffords, January 8th, 2011.

We’ve seen more Ladderback Woodpeckers visiting this year
Nice hike out Camp Hope trail this morning. Photos of Rincon Peak don’t do the view justice.

This is Agudo, the star of many of my IG posts. Boy, could he use a drink.
