Headline on Hollywood Reporter that reads ”Paddington 4, Escape From New York' Reboot in the Works”
I misread the headline as one movie and got very excited for a moment…

Again, if you have a Substack, the best time to switch away was months ago -- but today's the second best time.
"People have started to believe that having an idea is the same thing as making art... You didn't even make that by typing in the prompt. The computer did, by stealing. If you didn't make the thing, you don't get to take credit for saying what if this thing was a thing?"

New ep is up - Josh Rivera (West Side Story, Hunger Games, now Rocky Horror on Broadway) stopped by to talk about the long game of an acting career, staying grounded, nerd culture, and why "schedule a game" is the best friendship advice he's got.

Did…did you survive?
The best #TV show right now is The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins.
This is the funniest thing I’ve seen in so long. Every episode features some of the funniest jokes I’ve ever seen on TV and I need y’all to get into it
I haven’t smash rewatched a show like this since Community

Thank you just so much to absolutely everyone who has supported us through this adoption journey and for the many years prior that we have worked to become parents. It's all worth it because Milo is now home.
Welcome home, Milo :)
Thank you to Will and Bridget for watching Buggsy while we were away. And now that we’re home, Buggsy has even accepted Milo and we all get to snuggle on the couch! He’s such a great big brother.
Thank you to our wonderful adoption agency Friends in Adoption who’s been with us through the ups and downs of this process.
Also thank you to Uncle Rob, who opened his home to us while we waited in NJ for the legal process to go through. Having a home to go and get to know Milo was incredible.
Milo was conceived via surrogacy, and through difficult circumstances, the intended parents were unable to parent, allowing us to be his parents. We are so grateful to his amazing surrogate Zuhelly who’s been the most wonderful partner in this process, and who delivered us our greatest gift, Milo.
Please meet Milo Victor Donovan, born on February 12, 2026 in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is a cheeks-forward bundle of love who loves snuggles and, best of all, is our son.
We are so, so excited for Milo to join our family and we can't wait for you all to meet him :)

In his 20s, @neddonovan.bsky.social created the "four things" rule for scheduling. Treat commuting as 1 of the 4: work + cooking + commute can fill the day, so plan priorities accordingly.

is Shrinking the best TV show on right now? I wasn’t sold on this new season through three episodes bc of some writing that felt more on the nose than S1/2, and then they pay it *all* off in episode 4? It’s exquisite. Just exquisite.
We can all agree that Netflix releasing a show called “Finding Her Edge” is wild, right? Like they know what they’re doing? That title can’t get through approvals without SOMEONE bringing it up and them going “heh, nice”. Right??
need to make everyone in San Francisco watch this video every morning and every night

I would trade a significant number of those joys to have him back.
I love you so much, Dad. I hope you're resting peacefully.
I guess what I'm saying is, a lot of people told me grief gets easier with time. I haven't found that to be true. I've just found that as time goes on, grief becomes contextualized alongside joy. The joys pile up, but the grief remains, exactly as potent as it was before.
I was 26 when Dad passed. 10 years later walls of grief still hit me out of nowhere and unexpectedly and wrack me with the kind of anguish I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
My father was a wonderful human. He and I spent so many beautiful memories together, making up for a period of time where we had very few. To the end he was one of my best friends, my biggest supporters, and my most ardent champions.
