Here’s a question: have you ever been to a ballet or an opera? Have you been to both?

Should I Make a Proof of Concept for My Film? Will it even help me get my feature made? And if so, how?

Taking more steps forward to make my indie film. A lot of this post is about iteration. (And a little of it is about Pixar!)

How Do I Actually Finance My Indie Film? Not enough people talk about the money side of making art and making films. So I’m going to really dive into it.

Not enough people talk about the money side of making art and making films. So I’m doing a deep dive for my upcoming feature film. And I mean deep.

Film financing! Grant applications! The business of art! It’s all here:

This puppet project I’m working on is gonna be SICK.

That’s amazing! The little indie cinema I saw it in in Calgary was quite full.

This is HUGE. This dude is a YouTuber who wrote, directed, and starred in his film. It tripled its budget on its opening day.

I caught it at one of the local cinemas here in town. Solid cosmic horror. We NEED more people making and sharing films like this. This is a slam dunk for indie cinema.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdom is so good so far. Give me more!

It looks like the first season is just going to be the first novella, and I’m not mad about it.

Also, shout out to my former stomping grounds Kamloops for hitting number 4 on the list of smaller cities!

I finished another draft of my screenplay! What a rush. Is there any feeling like this?

Now off to the producers for notes and on to the next draft.

Got to spend a day on set filming wolves yesterday and that was awesome. They’re really beautiful, wild animals and also basically the same as my dog. This industry is great.
