Anna was once a feral cat from a TNR colony battling severe mange, but she now thrives at Copper's Cat Commune. After receiving the care she desperately needed, we planned to release her back into the wild, but life had other plans. Anna has found her forever home here.

This week started out with many tears. Our sweet Millie was hospitalized two weeks ago on IV fluids and antibiotics. Unfortunately, she went downhill quickly again, and we made the tough decision to let her go Monday morning. She crossed the bridge peacefully, surrounded by loving arms.

Rose Tyler is our wibbly-wobbly resident CH girl. She wobbles and often falls when she walks. She lies down on a pee pad to urinate, and needs some sort of brace to hold her up when she poops. She is a big personality in a tiny 6-pound body. She is chatty and cuddly.

Honestly, our Soggy Bottom Squad cats are all some of the sweetest you would ever meet - almost as if they know they make messes and are trying to make up for that. They are a lot of work, but we adore them.

Sweet Millie is a member of our Soggy Bottom Squad. All members are either urine or fecal incontinent (or both). Millie has IBD in addition to being fecal incontinent. She is a real mess-maker, but the sweetest girl you will ever meet.

Happy #Caturday! This is Natasha, a semi-feral Bengal. She was used for breeding in her past life and was never handled properly. She gets to live here on her own terms - only interacting with us from a distance. She prefers to spend her time out in the main enclosure.

MInerva has issues with her right third eyelid. It doesn't seem to bother her, though. She is the sweetest girl and loves to give head boops for kisses!

OMG! It's wonderful! He was always such a happy, chatty boy!

Copper is the namesake of our sanctuary. He lived to be 19 years old. We lost him in January of 2016. He was a character! He made me laugh on a daily basis. He would do the poop dance - racing through the house at top speed after pooping. He was also a cuddler. We adored each other.

MadEye Moody is a semi-feral boy who survived a vicious attack by an evil human. He was shot with an air rifle and lost his front leg. His eye was a congenital issue. We got him and his colony away from that area and brought them to live with us. He is safe and happy now.

We had to say an unexpected goodbye to a wonderful cat ambassador today. Jason was a sweet, loving, occasionally grumpy paraplegic. He traveled with us to various events to show people how happy a para can be. He had the most soulful eyes and gave the very best hugs. Sleep well pretty boy.

Aust is our Feline Leukemia kitty. We do not know how old he is, he is probably between 7 and 10. Pretty old for a FeLV baby! He is outwardly as healthy as he can be. He is super affectionate and just loves when the people come into his space to visit him.

This is the larger of our 2 feral enclosures. It had to be rebuilt due to storm damage and was just completed last weekend. It houses about 20 feral cats. It has a greenhouse attached to it for shelter.
