I'm genuinely so out of the Doom loop at this point I don't know if the Venn diagram of people who are obnoxious sticklers for Vanilla compatibility and the people who are making slaughtermaps are a circle or two completely separate circles or what

You probably already know this but in vanilla-based ports Pain Elementals stop spawning Lost Souls if there are 21 or more already present in the map, and they can't do melee damage, so they become useless pretty quickly in slaughtermaps
