Eli Stowers is a name to watch, who sounds like he’s climbing up draft boards to the point it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s the second TE off the board tomorrow night.

Thank you - a great list!
Break a leg!
And with Andrew Alvarez officially recalled from AAA, they've once again set up a scenario where they will use a left-handed opener and long reliever around Miles Mikolas. Alvarez threw 84 pitches for Rochester 5 days ago, so he's on turn. Nats have 5 lefties in bullpen.
I'm very interested in the McDonald book on Carthage and the Dalrymple book.
Book selling out santa
After listening to the @gvaughnjoy.bsky.social interview on the @civicspod.bsky.social podcast, this book sounded so interesting that I needed to buy it and start reading it.
A number of interesting themes.

Artwork showing a pair of F7F Tigercats in overall dark blue camouflage peeling off to attack ground targets amid flak bursts. They carry rockets and bombs on underwing racks along with belly tanks. The aircraft are sleek single-seaters, with twin radial engines.
The Grumman F7F Tigercat (1943) resulted from a U.S. Navy requirement for a twin-engined multi-role fighter to operate from the large Midway-Class carriers then under development. Fast and heavily armed, the F7F arrived too late to see combat in World War Two, but did serve in Korea.

Hungarian Admiral Horthy
He would be a little late to be able to use one of Hungary's native sons in support of that effort and Orban.
Really trying to give you a more robust DIY experience.
If there's one thing worse than embarrassing yourself in the face of the enemy it's embarrassing yourself in the face of your allies, and on the 10th April 1918 the Italian and French navies engaged in a synchronised display of competence the like of which we might hope never to see again.
I appreciated all the perspective he brought on the Iron Brigade.
Very sorry to hear that he passed away recently.
I'm hoping to tackle Hartwig's 2 volume set on Antietam (that will keep me busy for a while) - one of the interviews I heard said that 2nd Manassas sets up Antietam, and understanding 2nd Manassas really helps to explain Antietam.
Book opening manassas
I'll check that out - thank you!
I just finished this book on Brawner's Farm which just came out last year.
John Hennessy boom return to bull run
One of the gaps in my knowledge of the American Civil War is the Battle of Second Manassas. From what I've heard, this book is the standard for a history of that battle - just getting started on it.

my ranking of the top 50 prospects for this year’s MLB draft is now up for subscribers to @theathletic.com, with some competition for the top spot: www.nytimes.com/athletic/717...
NEW: Trump accepted $37m worth of donated steel for his WH ballroom project from the Luxembourg-based company ArcelorMittal.
Days later, the WH made adjustments to Trump's tariffs that could benefit ArcelorMittal.
The Nationals have the highest ERA in MLB. With that, I tried to answer the following:
Why are other teams teeing off? Why did the organization construct the pitching staff this way? And how are they handling it psychologically?

So other, much more consequential things are happening today, but for what it's worth, this is my first time coming across this in a book.
Thank you for keeping these going up to now. Best of luck with the work items.

This book has been on my shelf for a while. With @rboomhower.bsky.social coming out with a new biography of Wallace Terry, I decided it was time to read Bloods.

Blueskis, it’s publication day for THE WESTERNERS!
I don’t have a photo or a fun video because I am a Very Bad Author and forgot to pack a copy for this trip to Montana.
So if you have a copy of the book, please post a photo of it (with kiddos or pets, preferably) below!
