👻💊🔦🎯 Medicines without side effects? Yes!
Chemistry can make drugs active only where they’re needed.
How? With photocages acting like invisibility cloaks and near-infrared light as the trigger.
Curious? Check out the work of @pstacko.bsky.social

👀🦐 Which world is more COLORFUL: ours or the one seen through the eyes of a mantis shrimp?
In this video, we discuss that having more receptors doesn’t necessarily mean seeing more colors. And color isn’t just about what we see. It’s about how molecules interact with light.

We boost our day with COFFEE ☕️🔥
But do we really know how much CAFFEINE is in our cup? 👀
In this video, we analyzed how caffeine content 🧪 changes with different water volumes💧
Watch to see what we found!

🧅💧 NO ONION, NO CRY — Can chemistry stop onion tears?
Yes!
When you cut an onion, alliinase and LFS turn amino acid sulfoxides into syn-propanethial-S-oxide — the tear-maker. 🔬🥲
Suppress LFS, and you get tear-free onions with full flavor. 🙌👩🍳🧪
