People criticise the appointment of Peter mandelson. But without it the press would totally ignore his part in the abuse of all those women in the epstein files.

Outside the Westminster bubble of peadophile protecting the rest of us are wondering when mandelson, the police and Prince Andrew will face some kind of accountability. Then maybe it is fair game for everyone else connected but looks so, so grim from so many people right now

Mandelson still not having to answer for the epstein association, nor the police for failing to act on victims reports to them. Prince Andrew walking free. What other abuse have our press and power failed to actually confront?

The abusers or even those accused are living life with no consequence at all. Whilst the narrative is about those who aren't even in it in the UK. Our press cover for those and gaslight all women by doing so. No wonder women do not come forward

Any news on the UK police ignoring all claims by the victims yet? And allowing abusers still to live free amongst us all?

Also intrigued to see how men in general defend themselves for befriending an abuser. Encouraging an abuser even on their timelines let alone offline by not confronting them. If the abuse is not the issue and the treatment of abuser is - how are men holding any high horse?

Our press would rather reform. And the anti reform press are too pious to help Labour

Not so much and a lot being planned and built. Homeowners trying to block it and delay it. But a lot of big houses losing value

It's staggering how mandelson isn't facing heat or even Prince Andrew. Or the police for their part in the abuse. Staggering that the US administration also being full of named abusers isn't mentioned. Almost like the abuse doesn't matter to UK power at all.

As a working mum I disagree. I see a payrise each year since they came in. I see my workers rights reestablished after a long time of having none. I see a closer relationship with the EU and a powerful stance against Russia. I see the young being offered what they had lost, including housing.

The victims need accountability from the abusers. Hate to distract how the power in the UK wants to handle it all but it only shows how much abuse has been covered up, even when exposed. The media are trolling the abused and women in general.

The Uk has definitely not learnt from it. Even those anti it don't understand their own damaging narrative. Everyone too focused on looking individually pious. We are heading for a similar shit storm and ignored all the mistakes made.

Speaks volumes of the UK press bubble. How many other scandals they must ignore and gaslight the victims out of seems to be an obvious question.

In the UK you can see how it is protected as well. Even now. The talk is about our PM no commentary on the police ignoring the victims or protecting power. The press protecting all of that..men redirecting the conversation. Men look so so scummy right now.

Apart from waiting lists, pay rises, workers rights and building houses. It shows the people who know noone of the working class or on lower incomes.

How would an independent Scotland handle the threat of Russia?

The press also seem to ignore the victims and the real conversation that should be had. Be good to see a man actually give a shit about that.

For the abuse to go with no justice brought? How can men seriously continue to gaslight so many women abused as well as abuse victims in general? The UK looks a really grim place and men look awful - no wonder women don't trust them

How are more people not uncomfortable with how men in power and men with platforms including the media are dictating the direction of conversation following the epstein files? How is holding starmer to account helping those victims? Why do the police not have to answer? Why are men still allowing

Oh fuck off. You stalk women who ask you not to. You men are scum. Lucky the press protect arseholes like you whilst ignoring the woman being harassed. Fuck off and seriously stay away.

I should not have to limit my own voice to protect myself from men who I have told to leave me alone. Male journalists do not help in how they cover the epstein files. Men in general can fuck off. You both make them look the danger they are as you protect the actual abusers or are them themselves.

Your own profile on bluesky says different. No compliment in creepy men stalking on social media. Leave you two profiles to talk to each other. Wouldn't want to wish bad karma on either of you as women would suffer. Scum men.

No I am angry you insist on stalking me and talking to me like I should respect you. I have told you many times not to and you refuse and think it your right to. Creepy ass fascist Russian loving trump fan. Fuck off. You men pat each other on the back all you like. Scum.

Almost like the British institutions protected and still protect Prince Andrew. Time to start talking justice for the victims and take this conversation off mens hands.

I think digital ID is a good thing. There needs to better communication between agencies and there is nothing to fear if doing nothing wrong.

Surely the American administration themselves being so involved in the epstein abuse of women made the pervert a suitable appointment? I don't get why the narrative is so narrow on the approach of seeking actual justice for the abused.

Almost like the epstein files show how perverts and sex offenders are covered up by the institutes of power. Like the royal family itself. Shame the exposing of things has not resulted in anyone being held to account for abusing all those women. Shame the narrative isn't even about that.

Reform have a Muslim in charge of policies. These people don't even know their own party.
