I'm just a lady doing my best. 🥰
I'm in this photo and I love it

We gave a worm brain control of a fly body and it walked
What did we learn? Nothing, other than deep reinforcement learning is effective
We call it the digital sphinx

Have you ever wondered why mice do what they do when they are free to do whatever they want? Check out our latest (and this slightly delayed thread about our recent paper, led by Caleb Weinreb and friends...) www.cell.com/neuron/fullt...
In partnership with @fens.org and @ibroorg.bsky.social, the Dana Foundation commissioned a survey of past #BrainAwarenessWeek grantees and applicants to better understand how Brain Awareness Week advances its goals.

I’m so honoured to be featured in Stories of WIN this month - sharing my career journey and how storytelling changed everything for me! 🧪🎙️
Always awesome to work with you and your team Bryan!
Off to Sunposium tomorrow. Feel free to message me here, on the meeting app or just say hi if you want to chat about BRAIN or NIH.
The brain oscillates and we should figure out why. Development of new analytics will be key:

Have we reached the point where we should be taking Roko and their basalisk seriously?
Last year's are here:

vday card reads "Valentine, you love beats talent"
vday card reads, "Eehehehehe, I will always laugh with you, my love"
A few more...
vday card reads "Lets build our love together, Valentine" features Mat Armstrong and a broken car
vday card reads "I would never dam-age out love"
vday card reads "Oh my days, Valentine I'd go anywhere for you!"
vday card reads "I will always stick with you, Valentine"
Every year I made niche interest based Valentine's Day cards for my partner. They have ranged widely from video games, tv shows, animals. This year, they are Mat Armstrong.

Blue and grey quilt hangs on a clothes line in a snowy backyard.
Close up of corner of the quilt showing neuron quilted border.
Snowtime quilt. I like the pattern and color way. I tried a garland of neurons around the border, I don't think I like it but too late now. Gift for a 'retiring' colleague.
Neuroscience is moving away from a modular view of the brain because the brain is not modular. It is network of murmuring neurons. Great metaphor by @pessoabrain.bsky.social

Making silly things is pretty much my only source of joy lately.
My cousin suggested that one! I find it hilarious.
No, I'm not selling them. I don't have time or energy for that.
If I'm feeling nice though I'll give you one.
A series of block printed and embroidered patches that are puns on quilting and hardcore bands
I have finished my quilt x hardcore patch collection and I am proud.
For you my friend
“adoption of AI in science presents what seems to be a paradox: an expansion of individual scientists’ impact but a contraction in collective science’s reach, as AI-augmented work moves collectively towards areas richest in data...
It's ok! A lot of folks have suggested good band name puns, but if they don't have a good image it's not worth a patch. Yours starts with a good image which rules
I have yet to think of a creative way to make him a quilter, but it's in my drafts folder for sure
There are overlaps
Black and white patches on a cutting mat, patches are a bunch of puns on hardcore and punk bands plus quilting.
More patches. I think I'll make like 2 or 3 more.
