Context: The birth of their baby was taking longer than expected. Sonic had a gut feeling about it, but he decided to ignore his instincts and travel with Knuckles to Christmas Island—the home where his family lived.

Sonic has never been one to show vulnerability; there are only a few occasions where he has opened up like this to his partner. However, Knuckles knows him well enough to decipher every single one of the hedgehog's movements.

Context: The due date is approaching. Both Sonic and Knuckles feel a strong need to spend more time together before the arrival of their baby.

​One day, while Knuckles was looking forward to reuniting with his husband, he noticed a curious attitude in him. At that moment, he decided to find out what was behind the behavior of the father of his child.

However, in his husband's absence, he began to develop a few insecurities as his body changed. He, who had always been athletic and had a "magazine-ready body," felt how the hormones hit his emotions on countless occasions, making him feel like he didn't recognize himself anymore.

​Context: During Sonic's pregnancy, Knuckles has been forced to be away even more than usual to guard the Master Emerald. This didn't bother Sonic at all; after all, his friends were there for him, and he enjoyed having his moments of solitude.

Sonic could finally be at peace, no longer having to hide this "secret," after discovering that this new adventure was beginning for them.

In doing so, he was able to confirm the baby's existence. Sonic and Knuckles, despite having sought the possibility of becoming parents, still couldn't believe it was finally a reality: a being sharing both of their DNA was growing and developing.

Context: After that couple's spat, Tails proceeds to perform the ultrasound to finally clear any doubts.

​For his part, Tails had already set a date to confirm his suspicions and uncover the truth behind so many doubts: an ultrasound.

A couple of hours passed before he regained consciousness. Knuckles was quick to confront him about what had happened, but they didn't expect Sonic to talk back with the same intensity as his husband’s concerns.

The incident alarmed the fox, who felt compelled to call Knuckles to inform him of the situation; the guardian left everything to rush to his side.

Context: Sonic went to visit Tails at his workshop, but he didn’t count on fainting right in the middle of their conversation.
