Bats from our local woodland circle outside our window, presumably feeding on the insects attracted by our indoor lights, just after sunset.

Why do people go 'choo choo' at kids to indicate a train? Surely they haven't choo choo-ed since before I was born.
Edit to infinity - and beyond!! Truly, I don't know when to stop editing (someone tell me to stop).
When the woods look like they're just missing Snow White in a glass coffin.
I know so many words (and a bunch of grammar, although that's the hardest bit) in Welsh now. It's amazing to look back over the journey so far, and to hope for much more ahead. Mae'r daith yn parhau.
Efallai achos tynnais i fe o'r diwedd y pier. Pier dadleuol yw e ar hyn o bryd - wel, perchennog dadleuol beth bynnag.

Prynhawn hyfryd yma yn Sussex.
I found a person who'll do a 1:1 session specifically aimed at authors. He also works for a company who organise blog tours. Not cheap, but not too expensive either. Hopefully this person will really help with something I can't seem to 'fix' for myself.
I'm feeling the same. Don't even know where to start. Yet. I'm hoping to sign up to get help with it.
Just spent the entire morning writing. Sadly, it was a 2-page letter to HMRC.
Life is too short not to read a book that was written well and by an actual human being.
All at Sea about the Sea
My last blog was about the letter C, so this one is about the word 'sea' (see?) A wee little brain fart the other day made me think about the sea. Or more specifically, made me wonder about phrases using the word ‘sea’ (or ‘the sea’) plus a preposition. My first point to…
My cats definitely get more likes than my books. So cats WITH books??
Do you have Snow White and Rose Red? One of my childhood loves, but a very weird story.
Question: How long does it take to write 42 words?
Answer: If it's a book blurb, apparently a couple of hours (then coming back to it weeks later and spending another hour rewriting it).
I've worked out how to automatically post blogs from my website onto Bluesky, so you'll get to see my occasional blogs about English words starting from Monday 30th March (fingers crossed).
Pretty sure I've never written 5 chapters in a day.
My inbox is full of these. Every day, first job is block and delete them all.
Pretty tabby and white cat sitting atop a scratching post.
Did my cat, Alice, wake up this morning with a great idea for a story arc that will enable her to finish a story she started writing over a year ago? She does look pretty smug, but NO, it was meeee! (Any 'well done's greatly appreciated.)
Waking up too early. Needing that spring clock change...
Trying to read 4 simultaneously atm. Feels a bit too much, tbh.
Sounds like your days are pretty full-on. I hope you have relaxation time too.
I'd say you're 'good at this' if two years ago you can bring today you to tears. Celebrate with positive affirmations!

True (and very funny). Our 'empty' oil bottles remain in the cupboard because if they're put out ready to recycle, we'll find cats licking them. Sadly this means oil bottles often miss one or two recycling days because out of sight is out of mind.
My husband said "There's an empty bottle of oil in the cupboard" and the pedant in me couldn't help but reply "You mean there's an empty oil bottle in the cupboard. It's only a bottle OF oil if there's oil in it."
Bracelet with the word 'Cymraes'.
Hastings public library building external photo. There are arched windows, brown bricks, pretty mouldings and a weird roofed turret. It's 4 storeys high, plus turret. Sorry, I don't have architectural knowledge.
This is my local public library. What a stunning building! I wish I knew the correct architectural words to describe it. Do you have a favourite beautiful building in your area?
I love reading audiobooks. The whole story, just as the author intended, but with someone else doing the eye-strainy bit. What an absolute marvel. I wish all of my books could be audiobooks too.
Two cats looking straight towards the camera, one sitting on a window sill, the other on a table.
Do you think it's Kitty breakfast time?
