Kanga Clanga Badnik from Sonic Superstars. He is cute and orange, with a lovable blank eyed expression.

Kanga Clanga Badnik, as it appears in a 2.5D prototype Evening Star worked on after Sonic Mania. It is balancing on its tail and kicking forward with its springy roo feet! Sonic is knocked to the left with significant kinetic force.

It is now the 8th anniversary of Mania so time to dig up some Sonic trivia... This year, it's Kanga Clanga! (aka the Kangus). This lovable robo-roo originally lived in the outback but now entertains us all in Pinball Carnival Zone!

the KTE CD mod was bar-for-bar the exact same implementation that Sonic Team did to put in Knuckles in CD.

It's basically the exact same playable character.
So... any mod that implements Knuckles in CD (its own thing or ported from Origins in some way) will need the DLC check.

Well the CD project of ours isn't compatible with either for one major reason:

they aren't on the same engine, so that means mods for CD 2011 / Origins won't work on ours.

It's the only API that we have implemented at the moment.
We may try Epic Games later. as for any other platform, they are out of the question, sadly.

We're doing what we can to make this an enjoyable modded CD experience.

And P.S.: Don't suggest us to add Miracle Edition features (or make it compatible with Miracle Edition).

We're gonna do our own thing.

So... to prevent possible issues with SEGA, we made it a system that checks steam for the DLC and gives you what you have legally.

Think of the CD Project as some large "expansion" of CD's remaster that pulls from all versions. Best to have what you own, right?

I hope this explains a few things.

We don't want to potentially have any issues with SEGA for having Origins DLC content included in the game.

For the record, we aren't the first to do DLC checks with Knuckles; Miracle Edition does this. the original KTE CD mod does this.

Knuckles will be unplayable if you do not have the DLC. I know these may seem bad, but there's a reason for this.

8 months ago 6 0 1 0

Second, is the content itself.
Amy will be a base playable character, but she will only have her Forever Moveset(s) by default. If you have the DLC, you will have the ability to use a version of the Origins moveset.

First, the way we handle Origins DLC.
It's simple, really; the PC (Windows, Linux) versions of the CD project will check directly on steam if you own the game & the DLC. if it doesn't find it, it won't activate. simple as that. no building shenanigans. none of that.

Just own the game and DLC. Easy.

Hey, so I seen a few people that are confused and / or upset by this.

I wanted to clarify a few things. 🧡

In the remake of Sonic 3 & Knuckles included with Sonic Origins, there is a hidden credits cheat code in the title screen.

However, due to a very specific change in the code that handles cheat inputs, as well as a flag not being set when activated, this is impossible to see under normal play.

alright

-transphobia (x.com/LeaksRetro/s...)
-bullying of countless emulator devs (MAME, DuckStation, Redream, etc) including byuu
-misappropriating donations meant for developing cores, with that money spent on unrelated things

"???: Oh! Luigi!" This is the game's first dialogue box, which appears about 5 minutes into gameplay.
Mario has already said "Luigi" 21 times by now. Luigi has already said "Mario" 14 times by now.

In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Mario and Luigi communicate mostly by saying each other's names. By the time the first dialogue box appears 5 minutes in, Mario has already said "Luigi" 21 times, and Luigi has already said "Mario" 14 times.

Correction, this isn't needed anymore! They apparently fixed the stunstick entirely.

yeah lol
easy to forget tbh

kind of! in previous iterations of HL2, you could rename the classname of a stunstick ent and the player can pick it up

but this is a true player weapon that doesn't require that.
