My real issue with the handling of the money is in their financial statement in ‘96, we were legislated back with a pay raise included (0/0/3%), for the very first time. Purchase of Purolator was included in financial statement as part of why no raises or pay increases were given. Not public money?

Privatization has led to “Third World” service. It makes more money. No offensive to the third world.

I watched us go from 350 full-time drivers in Vancouver to 150 and then they doubled the part-time so they didn’t have to pay overtime. Then they contracted all the parcel of delivery out to dolphin delivery. Now I hear Purolator is having the same issues with Dragonfly delivery. Good job’s lost.

 They bought 100% of Purolator courier. With public money. Funneled away from Canada Post. Millions and millions of dollars.

In 1996 Canada post bought 49% of Purolator courier. Employees were legislatived back by the government. Zero the first year zero the second year and 2% for the third year. The first time a pay rate was in the back to work legislation. Now Canada posts owns all of it. That’s where the money went!!!
