“Most” younger people have no memory of something that happened almost 50 years ago. But some of them do, I guess?

If I was on an oil tanker and the captain had a heart attack and they needed someone to steer it through the Strait of Hormuz, I could probably do it.

I moved it down to my basement sink and put bricks around the side of the cardboard so it would hold the ice/dress in place. Then I put dye on the different sections. From top to bottom, it's Baby Pink, Celadon (green-leaning turquoise), Better Black / Raven, Deep Yellow (actually orange), and Hydrangea (purple).

I didn't take pics after putting the ice on. I will probably put more on later tonight, before or after GWAR. Should be done in 3-5 days.

A wider shot of the contraption from the side, so you can see one of the legs of the ironing board is down and one is up, so it's at an angle.

I made a cardboard lining around the dress to wall in ice, so it doesn't fall off while melting. They're sitting on top of an ironing board with the cover removed, so there's just a metal screen.

I tied the rest of the perpendicular lines the same way. There are five sections now.

I accordion-folded along the first perpendicular line and tied it with sinew really tight. It's attached to a sinew puller nearby.

This dress (https://www.dharmatrading.com/clothing/short-summer-dress-with-ties.html?lnav=clothing.html), folded in thirds horizontally. There is a straight line from the bottom-right corner to the top-left one, and perpendicular lines every 4.5". It's on top of a circular table with some necessary supplies nearby.

I'm dyeing this dress for someone who is on this website, but doesn't use it. I'm pretty confident it's going to be an amazing zigzag thing.

the best part of the botanical gardens' monthly discount day is that seniors 65+ and students 13+ do *not* get an additional discount. Kids 3-12 only get an extra 50 cents off.
