Factoring in a Soto return, some reasonable positive regression, and the upcoming schedule, feels like the Mets need an 11-7 in the next 18 at the very least. Half of those games are against COL/WSH.

That’s my thing. Theres not enough heat over here to have a meaningful conversation and over there people have simply constructed their own realities.
Twitter is just a fucking disaster
Pain!
Do you agree the Mets don’t get as many good breaks as they should? Not like being star-crossed is new to the Mets, but even in the cohen era it seems like they’ve had more than their fair share go against them even with good process/design.
Oh totally, sorry didn’t mean to imply anything, agreed darkly amusing and very much a come the fuck on lol
How are the Mets supposed to police that? I know guys have the latitude to do their own hitting thing, that’s not new.
Seems like a “are you fucking kissing me” over a “why did they let that happen”
Honestly, he had the right approach in that first AB today.
Sorry
😅
Yes, although I am worried about the bursitis. That’s a very tricky thing to manage in season.
Yep. I think they have enough pitching to keep them in it until the offense starts to actually function.
Nobody wants to hear this but even cutting it to 7-6 had value. Guys will feel a little better about themselves up there tomorrow. That’s a real thing.
Something is broken in this fanbase. It’s really sad, we were not like this.
People have lost their minds. I don’t really see a path forward.
Off to Coachella where no Mets fan can hurt me
The general 5 alarm fire discourse after every loss is tiresome with the heavy handed “unacceptable!” Label.
What would qualify as an acceptable loss? Lol
Every team is flawed. They’re 4-2 without Soto which anybody would’ve taken.
The pitching has generally been excellent. They’re top 5 in defensive runs saved and 12th in outs above average which is a significant improvement.
Hard for me to judge the offense quite yet.
Ok I saw .570 somewhere else then. Either way, a weighted coin flip as you said.
I personally think it’s a tougher play in practice than theory.
Also, can I say, the “run prevention” has actually worked and the fans keep complaining about offense.
Last night they tried to make trade offs! Alvy DHing pushes Mark to 1B and Baty to RF! If the Bad/Other Site isn’t complaining about one thing they’re complaining about the other!
Argh!
I saw .570 on savant. I think it’s a tough play. If the ball is hit any harder it’s over the wall, and you can see the flight running away from him. Mayyyybe TT gets there. Idt Benge does.
Yes. I’ve been impressed with Mark’s play at 1B overrall, but his inexperience at the position caused him to rush the throw. He had a little more time than he thought.
I have come here to see if there is sentient Mets discourse to be found, or to see if this site thinks the Baty play was routine and “should’ve” been caught.
Huge litmus test. Do not disappoint me.
Rough putt for flat earthers
For sure, Fleming is one of the worst things to ever happen. It’s absolutely heinous
Ok fine about 2022 but what about 2024? People also bitched the entire time last year when they were 45-24.
Frankly, I have little sympathy for residual Wilponian PTSD. The organization is in a strong position moving forward.
I’m tired of living with Wilpon Era misconceptions.

Lie
When did Mets fans become insufferable babies I am trying to find the thru line
I’ll concede Baty, but Polanco seems self explanatory with the Achilles and I’m sure people would’ve reacted very normallly and measured if they benched Benge tonight for Tyrone.
Maybe a hot take but idt there’s anything meaningful to say about last night’s game other than if that’s the Senga they get they’re cooking with nitrogen
