The haters said letting the drugged out richest man in the world and his team of Hitler Youth clowns with no qualifications other than sucking up to him over video games handle the federal budget was a bad idea, and they were correct. Honestly, great call by the haters.
The House passed our extension of TPS for Haiti with a 224 vote victory of Democrats & Republicans alike.
This has been a long-fought battle to defend our Haitian neighbors & our communities, and we're not letting up.
The Senate must take action without delay.
WE DID IT! We forced the House to pass our extension of TPS for Haiti.
This is a victory in our long-fought battle to protect the dignity & humanity of our Haitian neighbors.
To our Haitian family in the MA-7th and across this country, this one's for you.
On to the Senate.

How is TJ Maxx not getting in on "looksmaxxing," riding it hard for a fiscal quarter of advertising campaign, then walking away with the satisfaction of having murdered the trend.
This is a marvelous project and we need thousands more all over the country. www.sfgate.com/la/article/c...

The over 300,000 Haitian TPS holders in America are essential workers & valued community members.
Ending TPS for Haiti would be devastating and destabilizing for our communities, our economy, and our country.
Magyar’s speech is powered. From a contact in the audience: “He’s basically just asked all the puppets, all the supreme justices, all the heads of media, all the heads of the ministries to leave their jobs tomorrow and not wait to be fired.”
“You are not at the bottom of a hole?” asked Toad.
“No,” said Frog.
“You are not lost in the woods?” asked Toad.
“No,” said Frog.
“You are not being eaten by a big animal?” asked Toad.
“No,” said Frog. “Not at all.”
“The people are what matter to government, and a government should aim to give all the people under its jurisdiction the best possible life.”

Sharing Noa Dalzell's Tweets on sexism.
I've been posting about sports on CelticsBlog, reddit, Twitter, Bluesky, etc for 20+ years facing truly disgusting sexism throughout, some from known figures. Being behind a screen can bring out the worst in people. Sad we've made so little progress in sports.
Wisconsin is showing that you can fight creeping authoritarianism by getting organized and consistently voting, year after year, in small races and big ones, to win back democracy by voting in people who actually support democratic process.

Don't taco Tuesday this shit. Millions of people spent the day wondering if they would get vaporized, and no one in our government stood up to him. Nothing cutesy about it.
I’d love to see a delegation from Congress head over to the White House asap to protest the president’s threat of war crimes. It would be great if it was bipartisan, and if it included leadership. But at this point it would be encouraging to see some high-profile pushback, even from backbenchers.
Nope. Not complicated at all.
This looks like it would be good for anyone interested in supporting rural communities.
Bring the knowledge to your home region and partner with local institutions (or hold them accountable for addressing these risks!).
Yes and it's a masterpiece

Your moment of calm for the day. Lake Michigan on Saturday. It seems like an ocean here, and often surprises people who are not from the Midwest. It’s really big! It has waves. Enjoy.
Kanye West being booked to headline Wireless Fest on all three nights feels like a major and utterly grim cultural shift. Ten years ago, a huge artist who recorded and released a tune called “Heil H*tler” would have gone to the wilderness and stayed there. But he has been welcomed back in through the front door. And this is on the heads of the festival organisers, each of whom should be publicly grilled about this choice. Indulgence of anti-Semitism is one of the early warning signs of the return of old horrors, and it doesn’t get more indulgent than this.
He must be playing in Right because he’s not very good.
I *just* experienced a ~10 degree drop walking west away from Inman Sq.
