Haha, I think it paints a nice picture.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! In the trailer I used some specific settings to make the camera a bit more interesting!

These were some very intense couple of days.
But I wrapped up πŒπŽπ‹πƒπ‘πˆπ’π„, a small narrative horror game about getting to the ROOF of your appartment building with a horrible foot fungus.

Play it now on @itch.io :

Thank you!

1. I don't want it to appear in the task bar
2. handling transparency and clickthrough is not possible in stock Godot in the way I needed it

I always knew that you are man of good taste 😺

Thanks for the offer! At the moment I am not looking into other platforms - but Mac would definitely be interesting.

If the sales are good enough to put a Mac port in the "remotely makes sense" territory I will reach out if it is ok 🧑

I just released my second Steam game.
Feels really amazing! πŸ₯³

I'm using Godot for quite a while now, but I am still suprised and happy about how adaptive it is. For MeltyFlow I used a custom build and a GDExtension and the flexibility is just πŸ‘Œ

@yalpdulo.bsky.social @hsvfan-jan.bsky.social @akien.bsky.social Thanks for the great feedback on the first version - here is a version with a couple scenes swapped. I think it really improved it!

Haha, you speak my mind!

Yes, exactly! This is kind of a debug view. I use the temperature/color in the shader for different things.

What do you think of this trailer? Do you grasp what this is or do I need to redo some parts?

It is a customizeable lava lamp for the desktop that you can also click to interact a bit (like a fidget toy). Is this what you would get out of this trailer?

No sorry, some of the features make it windows only (for now). If the reception will be very good I will consider doing Mac and Linux versions πŸ‘

Lol... Meatballs

Damn now I'm hungry

3 months ago 1 0 1 0

It's not a 'typical' meatball implementation, but that doesn't matter too much in this case.

It's hard to simulate a real lava lamp perfectly as this would keep a CPU quite busy.

It can happen in my simulation that chunks of particles collide and create "ripples", but it doesn't happen often.

Who doesn't like a lava lamp on the desktop that you can click from time to time?

It's really chill and I already can't imagine going back to the old boring life without it 😁

Of course made in #GodotEngine! A wishlist and sharing this post would be nice 🧑

Thanks for the nice words! I definitely consider it a lot of times!

That sounds like a fun idea!

Thanks for the nice words! Yes, everything but a few lines of shader code were done by me - I looked up some open source shaders to modify for the screen space effect.
