Is it just a well trod path for people to write angst/character growth? I feel like there's gotta be more but I struggle to find it. And most of the stuff I've found is by butch lesbians themselves, I'm not saying this stuff shouldn't exist, it's just weird that it's most of what I find.

When I find butch fictional stories (and I mean as MCs, not side characters), written or comic, a lot of times the butch is written as very emotionally unavailable? That's really not my experience with y'all at all and I'm wondering if I'm just not good at finding sapphic media.
