Use case 1: I rack up about 30-60 a month. These can be corrected from the Website, but it requires 8-15 clicks *per item*.
Use case 2: Guess what happened to me in Utah... When you upload to the pota site, it has the park info.

+ A QRZ API Key for each #hamradio call sign you want to update (e.g., WT8P, TF/WT8P, OY/WT8P),
+ A current, full export of your QRZ logs of the same (because we need to fetch the QRZ logID) and
+ an Excel file (sample supplied) or CSV with the changes

On my Github is a python script that will let QRZ XML subscribers bulk correct records. It's intended to address two cases:

1) The other person has reported a different county, state or grid square in QRZ;
2) You uploaded your #pota ADIF + it lacked location data. (QRZ chose some defaults...)

It's most useful as a "code buddy," dealing with matplotlib and changes in pandas.

I spent a lot of time this week playing with #Claude and #CoPilot to accomplish a set of specific tasks.

It's nice being able to write sentences rather than keywords.

In all cases, the AI had significant errors in its output, meaning it is imperative that work is checked at all stages.

For FT8/4 spots, I use pskreporter to show "sent by" "grid square" and CN87/CN97, last 15 minutes to show bands working and where. Then, once I have an idea how propagation works, I will filter "sent by" "call sign" and "WT8P" to fine tune it.

I do wish there was an easy/obvious way to flag bad spots.

One nice aspect of its integration with N1MM is I can use the keyboard to bop between spots (I have F11 bound to the radio function to zero-beat). This was an epiphany that made search and pounce faster and doing this more fun.

During CWT, I use cwt.telegraphy.de to help fill in N1MM spectrum. What I like about it is I can go to the website and set up filters. It is generally more accurate, though sometimes it adds a preceding T or appending CWT to the name. (e.g., CQ W1AW CWT ==> W1AWCWT or CQ CWT W1AW ==> TW1AW)

The boy went to the shore and saw a beautifyl girl undress the sealskin. As they were dancing, he took her sealskin. At daybreak the seals dressed their sealskin and went back to the sea. The girl however could not find her skin, and at last, she found the boy with the skin. He would not give her the skin, and thus she had to follow him to the village. They lived as a couple for some years and had children. The skin was locked down in a locker and the man kept always the key. One day the man was out fishing, he suddenly was aware that he had forgotten the key at home. He then cried: “Today I loose my wife”. They hurried back to land finding the children sitting quiet, the woman had left, but hat extinguished the fireplace and kept all knives out of reach before she left, so the children should be safe. When she had found the key and then saw the sealskin, she could not help but took it. From this event derives the Faroese proverb: “Can not control you more than a seal finding his sealskin.” Some years later men from Mikladalur planned seal hunting. The night before the seal-woman spoke to her previus husband in dreams telling him to spare the old seal at the entrance of the cave and the two young seals at the bottom of the cave – they were her spouse and her sons. The man did not listen, and afterwards the seal woman swore revenge: so many men from Mikladalur should be lost at sea or fell from the bird cliffs that they could hold each other’s hands reaching all the way round Kalsoy.

Parks on the Air (US-0665) activation on a little picnic area just off the main loop before the Devil's Garden loop. Elecraft KX3 and a Chelegance vertical. Outside temperature was just above freezing.

Yesterday's #pota #hamradio activation of US-0665, Craters of the Moon National Monument was after I'd done most of the main loop around the park. Though the sun helped, it was just above freezing and I could only do about an hour.

"Park Avenue" hike in Arches National Park. I started from the second, lower point, and worked my way up. This is a *great* hike to do after the sun dips below the mountain.

Today, hiked to Delicate Arch, then in the evening, "Park Avenue" Ended up near the Windows in a nice set of shelters for star gazing. Did an impromptu activation of Arches NP US-0004 after sunset.
