With Govt's changes to settlement, many more people will be trapped in temporary status for decades, lives dictated by the next Home Office decision. If NHS continues to act as a data-sharing arm for the Home Office, its going to be difficult to convince pple to trust the NHS when next crisis hits.

Disappointingly, this was not followed through in the recommendations; the Inquiry did not call for the charging policy or data-sharing practices to cease.

It is a huge win to see the Inquiry officially recognise that NHS migrant charging and Home Office data-sharing undermined vaccine uptake.
