With Martyn as film editor and John as assistant film editor, they worked on a total of nine Doctor Who stories - The Mind Robber, The Invasion, The Krotons, The Seeds of Death, The Space Pirates, Inferno, The Curse of Peladon, The Sea Devils and The Time Monster.

They both worked at Group One Productions, an independent film editing company, which saw them editing many shows for a variety of broadcasters, including early episodes of The Goodies and Till Death Us Do Part for the BBC.
