Audiobook Mother Daughter Murder Night
Mother Daughter Murder Night is a pleasant light read with the obligatory murder and an interesting 3 generation dynamic .

He's a great writer.ππβ‘
It was. The Editor talks about her hits and misses as an editor. She turned down The Bell Jar as too autobiographical.
I haven't loved fantasy in a long time. But some of those books stayed with me for many decades. Ursula K. LeGuin especially.
7. And I listened to 208 hours in January. Currently working on biographies and memoir.

I really enjoyed Cooking for One. I'll probably buy a copy because it inspired me and it's not hard to make the recipes for 2.
It fills in more detail. She was so private, the Tenth Myself doesn't reveal a lot. I loved both of those as well. I'm also reading Always, Julia, letters between Julia Child and Avis Devoto. They talk about the state of the US and it's similar to what's happening now in government.

Cover photo of a young Judith Jones The Editor
The Editor by Sara B. Franklin is a delight. This incredible food historian has presented a loving, but fair account of the life of Judith B. Jones, who edited John Updike and Anne Tyler for their entire careers.
She also brought America Julia Child, Lydia Bastianich and Madhur Jaffrey.

Honestly I don't know. The interface looks like Libby, but you can only search authors, titles and narrators.
There are lots of genre lists that might help. I have a huge audible library and this at least supports local bookstores

ππ§ this is a terrific listen. I'd love to have lunch with Ina.
Hellebores! π±
They remind me of my lovely father in law, who had an enormous herbaceous border with multiple hellebores.
We actually dug some up before they razed the house and replanted them in our garden.ππ±
A wonderful old Siberian iris variety, 'Flight Of Butterflies' (1972). A large clump is a sight to see. I added it to the garden two years ago and hope it will show off this spring for me.

I hope they improve their indexing to include subject. I've joined, but browsing is difficult with their current index.

It's an exceptional audiobook as well, read by Viola.

Paul Newman's memoir.
Highly recommend.

Living with uncertainty is like having a rock in your shoe. If you canβt remove the rock, you have to figure out how to walk despite it. There is simply no other choice."

Cover of Paul Newman memoir
This is an excellent memoir. The complexity of this one human and his quest to better himself is really inspiring in these dark times.
