You know, timeline about adds up for this to be developed around the same time as CAD rule.

I *think* CAD rule comes from 4chan /co/ boards around the time the comic started being target of ridicule due to copypasted art, the infamous animated series, WORDSWORDSWORDS and the B^U face.

KYM tracks the rule to 2016 tumblr which is of course complete nonsense, nobody cared about CAD in 2016 - and I was on 4chan /co/ in 2011 so I do remember CAD was still a topic of conversation (webcomics were common topic on /co/ back then) and I do definitely remember seeing the CAD rule in posts.
