Yeah. Like, it's not consistent. But often enough where I feel like I more relate to the LI instead, so it's just giving that escapism of "Oh, it's someone actually being interested in *me*, trying to save me from this daily life," rather than being the initiator.

Reminds me of something I can't remember if I wrote in your server or just alluded to thinking...
With that first one, sometimes I wonder if for me it's not "the MC as a self-insert", but rather self-inserting as the *LI* instead, with the escapism of someone showing interest. If that makes sense.
