Melody does somewhat have a transformation power, being able to transform from her mermaid form to her human/land form at will, but most of Melody's magic is focused on her hydrokinesis/ability to control water, which is her main method of fighting🌊

In the main canon, Luke was born with his shapeshifter magic so he chooses when to activate his Beast form or any other monster form and he also chooses when to return to his normal human form

I do have an OC whose transform is somewhat triggered by sound but I haven't properly introduced him yet

Well how his Beast form activates depends on which version of Luke we are talking about

In the Fairytale AU, his Beast form is a curse that was placed on him after he was mistaken for someone else and given their punishment, so in that story, his Beast form is active until the spell is broken
