I’ve gotten a bit in over my head 👹

I just wanted to paint my room blue but I changed my outlets/light switch too..

But then I wanted white trim and took it all off, which made me realize I might as well do the floor…

It’s been really fun & I like the new energy! But 😵‍💫 too..

It goes even deeper than that! Northeast is considered an unlucky direction and where evil spirits enter from - that corresponds to the ox and tiger on the zodiac (which is also a clock, and that’s an unlucky time) so oni have ox and tiger traits to reflect that (horns and tiger pelt!)

Thank you Nini!! Last year I asked my older brother for a “real” figure drawing book for Christmas (after chewing through a few How to Draw Anime books and I think that’s helped a lot (and probably should have come first!)

I sat down to draw the last brush week piece and instead I fell asleep sitting up and slept from 8 pm to 8 am…

It’s better! Though on a whim I decided to repaint my room blue and I’ve never painted before, it is a bit more of a workout than I expected !!

And thank you! I’ve been trying to learn more about the local bsky culture and found there’s a big emphasis on accessibility so I wanna contribute too

Miss Kitty herself - she is a snowshoe cat, so the tips of her paws are white. She’s laying on her side, looking up at the camera. The picture is a little blurry and she’s naturally cross-eyed, so there’s a slight disorienting effect. She is a little chubby, so one can imagine the pressure on my sensitive wrist..

Miss Kitty slept on my wrist a little too long last night and it is now quite painful to move, so I am taking an art break today! I know it’s day 7 of brush week 2025 but I’ll have to wait .. 😔

In the meantime, the culprit:

It shows its age, though they’ve tried to modernize a lot of mechanics.. which I don’t like actually! I’d rather it commit to being an old school experience bc if I wanted to play something that feels new, I’d do that
But it’s super cute, mechanics are unique, I have fun with it!

That’s kind of how I’ve been poking at it - there’s a ton of “!!!! get speed run and speed AP and speed gear here !!!!” stuff but I’ve been ignoring it and will once a month just wander around with the friend who showed me it and I think it’s a much more organic experience

I do like the Tetris inventory a lot, they give a lot of free bags and pets now which have massive inventories and just updated the dressing room to store weapons/tools, but I know old school players had to really hoof it bank to bank and be choosy, which I actual think is really cool

I can’t complain, most of my friends/family had their holidays in 70-80 F sunny days.. I’m actually kind of dreading the return of spring/summer bc it gets so much busier around here!

I really like the mechanics! So many MMOs have WoW’s DNA in it but mab feels like they really thought it up unique ideas and mechanics - it doesn’t feel like I’m just playing wow or a wow clone, and the world/aesthetic/clothes are all really cute to me

It is very interesting! It sounds like in recent years they’ve tried to push it to have more structure and catch-up mechanics, but I’ve heard a lot of resistance from old school players bc then it kind of loses what made it so unique - I too enjoy it for how “unusual” it is in a wow-clone world

Miko has her hair down instead of in braids with a hibiscus flower by each horn. She is sitting on a giant inflatable swan floaty in water. She is wearing an oni print bikini (tiger print) and has one hand on the neck of the swan float and one hand in her hair. Her legs are crossed and she is kicking up a tiny bit of water.

Day 6 of Brush Week 2025 is the lagoon brush! ☀️
It’s very cold and dark where I am right now, so it was fun to imagine this one. You may remember that Miko can’t swim… 👹

Children are an oppressed class and I mean this fully sincerely

Miko is wearing the succubus outfit from mabinogi, an old Korean mmo. Despite its name, it’s actually not very revealing! It has thigh-high boots and socks, garter belt, a sort of corset/leotard, and then a very big puffy skirt with lace along the edges. There are bat demon wings and a two-pointed jester hat. Nearly all the clothes and the background are dark red, with just a pop of blue in Miko’s braids.

Day 5 of Brush Week 2025 is the “wretched” brush! While I don’t have the time to play often, a friend introduced me to #mabinogi recently - its game designs are so cute!

The succubus npcs have two-pointed jester-style caps and I don’t feel like you see those much these days.. bring them back! 😈

Thank you !! They were definitely cramping by the end of this one, I did it in one long chunk at the end of the day instead of taking breaks, so I definitely to have to draw responsibly still lol

Hahaha, thank you!! To be transparent, soju is a suuuper high percent so I tend to have much smaller quantities of it than by the bottle, although I like to pretend.. it is delicious though !! It comes in a ton of flavors so if you don’t like bitter drinks and don’t mind the extra sugar, try it out!

I like that the apron has a similar appearance to the brush! The hand holding the bottle is well done too - it’s all very cute 💙

I agree! Even just from archival standpoint I think it’s good to have copies of files available - I do want to play the mars version but it never made it to openTTD afaik.. maybe someday!

I’ll admit bsky puzzles me a bit! Twitter had a clear formula to me, even if it meant doing silly trends - here I feel like I have a much harder time seeing new people or being seen - which is ok !! I left X like a year ago so I don’t want to go back, I’d rather be sincere and post w/e I want to

I LOVE openTTD!! I was playing it at work yesterday since no one came in or could be reached! It’s a big comfort game of mine, it’s on my surface so I play it whenever I’m traveling or stuck in a hotel, etc.
I like just making massive bus routes and I call my vehicles molcars bc they’re cute..

That’s the one! I didn’t know its name, someone just told me about it in passing. I haven’t seen 20th century boys but I am interested in that all the characters are real adults after having looked it up.. I’ll let you know if I give it a shot!

Haha I’m so glad you noticed them! It took me a long time to plan them out and work them in but it feels worth it if you and others notice them!
