Researchers from UZH demonstrated that existing biomass rasters can be super‑resolved to 10m resolution by using Sentinel‑1 and Sentinel‑2 imagery. Their model delivers more accurate estimates than direct regression from satellite data alone.

Embed2Scale has released TerraCodec, an open‑source family of neural compression models for optical Earth observation data.
Unlike most work that focuses on RGB imagery, TerraCodec is built for multispectral satellite data.

The Embed2Scale consortium is meeting today in Ljubljana, hosted by project partner Sinergise, for the first day of its two‑day general assembly.
The agenda includes a review of the latest project progress as the project has entered its third and final year.
This webinar introduces the Visual Prompting for Geospatial Image Segmentation (VP‑GIS) framework, which uses high‑dimensional embedding maps to guide zero‑shot segmentation models toward domain‑specific features. The session includes a prototype demo and an outlook on future developments.
