If Bo Bichette wasn’t useless, we’d still be up like 5-2 and at least a .500 team, even with Soto and Polanco out. #Mets #LGM #MetsSky
With his advanced age and deteriorating condition, Trump is likely not long for this world. I am waiting to see how many in the GOP suddenly find political Jesus when he's gone.
You’re right; that IS a hot take.
Every single day Trump does something that would have ended any other presidency. Every. Single. Day.
And every single day most people seem to move on to the next thing like it never happened.
The DOJ is now 5 month in breach of releasing the Epstein files.
Holding these criminals accountable should be the Nuremberg of our time.

A hundred years ago, the U.S. had a nationwide network of short-line railroads that connected most urban and rural communities. By the 1940s, most of it had been dismantled ... by the barons of the auto and oil industries. 😑
This is what I wrote for the 2026 ZiPS projections for the Mets, and I stand by it.
BREAKING: 86% of all people support the release of the Epstein files, per WaPo poll.
...maybe - just maybe - he's actually the worst president in history
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
It’s definitely the case. Cohen has said it since he got here & he was waiting for Stearns to actually implement it.
This season will likely be very painful, but what they’re doing is obvious: building the next core.
Yeah, well, they wanted short contracts on older players & that’s it. Face it; 2024 was the peak of the previous core & Stearns is in the middle of building the new core. He doesn’t even mind the losing; he’d rather be able to trade away some of these vets at the deadline.
If it’s any consolation, I think burning it all down is actually the plan. What we’re watching is a team trying to win games while in the middle of Stearns’ controlled burn.
Still sucks to watch, though. 🤣🤣🤣
Desperate times, desperate measures.
David Stearns is rebuilding the Mets’ major league team from the ground up, ripping out all the parts over 30 years old. Their farm is pretty stacked. How they’re playing now is partly a result of being in the middle of that process.
It still sucks to watch. 🤷♂️🤣
No, I don’t think it’s happening soon.
Hell, I even believe in the overall process. And Steve Cohen’s Mets didn’t actually begin until Stearns got here.
I don’t think winning a World Series was the plan this year. Getting younger is the plan. Benge will play for as long as he needs to find it.
It’s on the players but this is the sort of run that gets managers fired.
Trading a guy with a 5-year $75 million contract & chronic plantar fasciitis was the right move regardless of how the first 3 weeks of the deal have gone.
Like, the Clippers fan experience is as close to Mets fandom as you can get without being a Mets fan. The only difference I think that is without a salary cap in MLB, the Mets can bring in bigger stars with bigger expectations (who immediately turn into pumpkins.)
Oh, the Clippers have been cited for YEARS as the NBA’s spiritual West Coast cousin of the Mets.
It’s on the players.
He had hand surfer and had no spring training. This is the first season where you really had to expect him to struggle out of the gate.
I love how they go up instantly & take a year to come down.
