Very excited for Fanfest even if travel anymore makes me anxious. I've been to almost every single one minus HW and ARR (and the EW one since it was online) Sadly my friend group has dwindled more and more each time.

If more combos were like VPR combos I could see getting more used to controller since it would result in less hotbar and trigger pressing for rotations
Jobs I can play relatively normal on controller are SMN, MCH, DNC, BLM, PCT. I fit single target on one cross hot bar and aoe on the second. Everything else feels like too much juggling and I'll find myself holding the wrong trigger for the skill I want. I guess I could do VPR too
I can't deal with all the trigger toggles to swap the hot bars to access other skills I can just map to my 1-12 side buttons. If I am on Steamdeck I play so bad and basically never remember to use mits because they're just not easy for me to weave in. Probably something I'd get better over time
The other day I played with someone doing M11S on Steamdeck and I really just dunno how anyone can play without a mouse and keyboard. This game is so comfy with a 15 button mouse.

Didn't end up sending in anything to the art contest. I've skipped one before but after putting so much effort into the last one and didn't get to the finalists, I sat this one out. Putting in time is fine and not making it in is fine too, but my bandwidth is low and didn't want to stress about it

I have a more generic santoku and nakiri and these new ones really demonstrate the craftsmanship I have wanted to experience

One thing to see them online, and another to hold them. The santoku is super light while the nakiri really has that weight for vegetable chopping that they're known for. Think I made some good choices

Anyone just watch all the FFXIV trailers randomly for the nostalgia hit? I can never get enough of them and just remembering how I felt watching each of them and looking back on the journey. It is both sad and amazing how this game has existed and changed
