I’m having a lot of fun going to see the crows and jackdaws at the moment…perhaps too much fun, as it’s all I’m thinking about perhaps to the detriment of my work - but corvids are fascinating creatures!

This is not to say we don’t need to increase defence spending a bit. But it should not be at the expense of welfare or of foreign aid. And the defence aspect should be a coordinated and funded European initiative. Interdependent, not dependent or isolated.
We should not be gearing up for war and cutting services which help our own populations. We should be investing in our country, the people who live here, education, health, strong financial safety nets. We don’t want a disillusioned population struggling to survive, vulnerable to radicalisation etc

I feel like with a lot of social media you can’t do it without delegating. Or at least, you have a lot of negative consequences and isolation if you don’t. If I didn’t have social media I would be very lonely because that’s how I find out about events and how I end up meeting people in real life

I find online chats ok if it’s interest based and I’m pitching in to other people’s talking to themselves, if that makes sense
Yes! I also find like, presenting on an interest, playing a role - I often don’t really know who I am or how I fit in a conversation, I forget my interests and how I can slot myself in, but being there and myself and other people pitching in and connecting is so much easier.

I’d like to make friends with the crows, but I’m not sure my dog will be as big a fan given his tendency to chase after anything that moves. Would it be wiser not to befriend crows in places where I also walk my dog? Will they begrudge me for my dog’s disrespect?!

Ooh, I’ve spent this evening down the rabbit hole of Teeline and a fair bit of that on this site! Site is super cool and clean (and I’ve successfully procrastinated a couple hours!) Couldn’t get the generator to work in Firefox (can’t select the text in the box to type), but it worked fine in Edge.
