Saw a lot of debate yesterday about whether it should be Autism *Awareness* Day or Autism *Acceptance* Day
Both feel quite passive to me. I’d like to propose Autism *Appreciation* Day as a more active way of saying:
Autistic people exist
Autistic people belong
Autistic people are awesome ❤️

This inclusive and supportive environment is open to PhD researchers from CHASE institutions (regardless of funding status) who identify as neurodivergent – no formal diagnosis required. Together, we’ll focus on developing your writing skills, building confidence, and addressing common challenges.
Our next writing session is coming up on Wednesday! Together with Dr. Catherine Pope we are going to look at how we can create a sustainable writing process as neurodivergent researchers. The session will take place online at 10am GMT.
