Local Repair Cafes seem to do a good trade in tool sharpening if you can find one.

"A final thought: is it time to focus more on taking action on what we already know rather than simply calling for better data?"

How many UBI or 4 day week trials have we done by now?

Sure, if you're an adult, you likely know this but for terms of UBI, if you have what you need to live, that gives you CHOICE in what job to take. You're not doing dangerous risky jobs, but can demand SUFFICIENT safety measures or you walk.

Artists can release art WHEN ITS READY not for a deadline.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

A little more you, today. Not the role, not the expectation, just you.

That’s enough. 🧡

So, depends on how long you want the relationship to last?

What does that mean?

I am clearly not that old

I would guess something is on top or in front of it wherever it is.

🧵Spotted in Country Aotearoa New Zealand:

A woman (20s?) is sitting on top of a picnic table looking out over a pristine water hole.
Legs swinging idly.
Expression dreamy.
A mist travelling over the water.
Bird song coming from every direction.
This is peace. (1)

I don't understand why MPs don't get vetted, given the amount of 'donations' they're given.
Their job is more than doing constituency surgeries and sitting in HoC. Do they get vetted when they become Ministers?
Case in point - Priti Patel and her visits to israel!
The whole set up needs an overhaul.

A huge tub of screws is hard to move, where would it normally have been? Ours are in old Quality St tins in the garage.

Do you remember the type of tub?

I think I prefer the cold indifference of a person to the cold indifference of a machine. But I definitely prefer the machine to corporate enforcement of bullshit pleasantness

Print, book, and pen people:

I am going to need a new supply of fountain pen friendly white paper, A3 size, probably 75-80gsm, as budget-friendly as possible. Quite happy for it to be copier / inkjet paper as long as it behaves right.

Any recommendations? (Please share!)

When Sir David #Attenborough was born there were less than 2 billion people on Earth. Today the world’s population is 8.3 billion & still growing every 12 months by the population size equivalent to a country the size of the UK. Good luck making that environmentally sustainable

Same, on both counts. I feel the dog would have something to say too, but he rarely goes in the bathroom.
