This bald eagle flew onto the top of a telephone pole next to two fishermen and eyed their catch. They were totally oblivious. Read “Settler colonialism and the elimination of the native.”

This morning I found the first record of Boat-Tailed Grackle for Rockland County, NY. Sound on if you want to hear something really annoying.
BREAKING: the judges who dismissed high-profile cases in immigration court against two international students who have advocated for Palestinian causes, Rümeysa Öztürk and Mohsen Mahdawi, were fired yesterday, alongside four other judges.

So you admit that cops’ job is to brutally slaughter people who present no threat to them? Interesting!
“Marxism is far richer than Rockhill would like it to be. Marxism has always been a diverse and contested field of inquiry and abolitionist activity.” Interesting review that accepts many of Rockhill’s empirical claims but finds fault in his analysis. marxandphilosophy.org.uk/reviews/2262...

Please contribute to this. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Idris Robinson once and his work is amazing. He is being unjustly harassed by his university for his support of Palestinian resistance.

Idris Robinson screen-capture from his seminal How It Might Should Be Done public talk. Text: As for Hamas, Robinson told the Guardian: “I definitely do not condemn the violence used by the Palestinian resistance. Palestinians have not been accused of perpetrating genocide, while the Israelis have been found guilty of doing so by the UN, Amnesty International and others. So the issue of whether I support violence or not is a ridiculous and immature question at this point.” In any case, Robinson added, his main claim in both the talk and the question-and-answer session was that “the Palestinian people are not just passive victims. They have agency and there’s something to be learned from people who’ve been struggling for 75 years … about emancipatory political transformation.”
BREAKING: Texas State Fires Professor over Palestine Speech
Philosopher Idris Robinson is being fired for having principles.
He gave a talk on Palestinian resistance.
He would not condemn it.
Over a year later, TXST terminates his tenure-track contract. But he's fighting back.🧵
"Philosophy professor Idris Robinson has sued Texas State University officials, asserting that the school violated his constitutional rights by ending his contract after he gave a talk on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict off-campus in another state..." www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
War is climate violence.
Trump called for the US military to use US cities as "training grounds" to prepare for overseas wars. From Minneapolis to Iran, we face the same enemies.
Rival warlords attempting to assert control over collapsing empires—that is becoming the dominant form of governance.

Fuck this!
When we say no war but class war we mean that no one in Iran is poisoning our water or stealing our wages or kidnapping our neighbors. And the people who are? They're spending our money on killing Iranians
They’re not going to do shit, though
This 53 year old man who lived in my neighborhood w/no criminal record & who had been in the US for 30 years, was detained and thrown into a cold cell for days, caught pneumonia and COVID there and deported.
He finally died.
I am so angry.

It wouldn’t be, but thanks
Random question: does anybody know of a way to access episodes of the 2002 VH1 show Music Behind Bars? Asking for an (incarcerated) student.
That’s where they make the crystals

I don’t think I fully appreciated how absurd this sentence is the first few times I read this book. Walter Johnson is an extraordinary writer.
My friend and one of the co-authors of Read This When Things Fall Apart, Stevie Wilson, will be released from prison in less than a week. Stevie has done tremendous work as an incarcerated organizer and has plans to continue doing important work on the outside. Let's help him make a new start.
The idea that there are going to be American Nuremberg trials, that state and municipal law enforcement will turn on the DHS SS, that the democrats will somehow save us - all of this is pure delusion. We cannot rely on the state to save us. The state will dance on our mass graves.
