Also the size of the cast for this is just INSANE. Think of it like a TTRPG table. A large group just means someone is getting left out all the time. Oh jeez. There was a time in the late 80's/early 90's where the plots of the sequel films would have been just good enough for straight to VHS releases you'd find on the bottom row of the "new release" section of a Blockbuster Video, not tent pole summer films.

I got chatting to a family in Disney World in the queue for Rise of the Resistance, and asked the kid which film was his favourite and he said Rise of Skywalker. I just said "That's so awesome, what was your favourite part?". As bad as I may find it, someone loves it and that's cool.
