Final reminder: we must support the 31st st bike lane and pedestrian safety project. It is the whole city's fight. If a handful of people can stop this they can stop anything.

Yep. Usually either drunken driving or texting and driving. Given that it's a cab, I'm guessing texting

Diana Moreno (Zohran's successor) reminds everyone the 31st St fight is not about "whether you like bikes." There is an objectively correct answer the city must follow. This is the perfect point I want to hear politicians make EVERYWHERE. (@dianaforqueens.com)

I'm convinced Astoria has the best representatives of anywhere in the country. No exaggeration. And we are going to fix not only Astoria's streets but all of NYC

ebikes are not "lazybones," whatever that means, in fact every study ever done on it has found ebike riders get more exercise (by virtue of riding more often and for longer because it's more fun)

Vice versa, the Sydney Harbour Bridge was almost exact copy of the Hellgate Bridge

The people that think there is not enough parking in NYC are insane. Literally crazy people.

Some guy named Hunter Walker, who apparently thought it appropriate to tell most of his neighbors, including all of the immigrants their opinions don't matter and that they should have humility when sharing them. Then he bravely ran away and blocked everyone.

You don't have to become the Netherlands in order to enable more people to leave the car at home. Multi-use paths with some basic separation from roadways is enough to get people rolling. It's something that most cities and suburbs can do now with minimal investment and space.

From the MicromobilityNYC community on Reddit: Instead of giving in to the idiots that sued to stop the 31st St bike lane, DOT is coming back with a counter plan that is twice as long. I'm dying. Explore this post and more from the MicromobilityNYC community

You could be a powerful voice in helping us actually fightfor these things! (and it is a fight.) We have a big one coming up for a bike lane on Tuesday. Our ally Zohran is helping us fight back against some people that sued to stop a bike lane:

It's fun how the second there's a car crash drivers just decide that the rules don't apply anymore...

This is an apparently popular reporter revealing his actual philosophy is nativist bullshit. If we follow his logic it would mean all immigrants should have "humility" and Trump is a real New Yorker with real opinions whereas Zohran should just shut up and dribble. The state of journalism

Very well said. I think this is the most fascinating part of this exchange. Hunter, accurately, dunks on the Post which is of course just a right wing propaganda tabloid, then immediately goes on a nativist conservative temper tantrum. Pick a lane dude.

Everyone who lives in NYC is a New Yorker, and you don't get to claim that your opinion is more valid than others because your parents had sex in Elmhurst or whatever. Nobody cares.

In case you're confused, Hunter, some people try to use the word "transplant" to dismiss out of hand the opinions of their neighbors, other new yorkers based on where they were born. (Something none of us had any influence on whatsoever.) This is particularly used by racists to dismiss immigrents

Anyone that actually uses the word transplant immediately loses all credibility in NYC.

A Citi Bike ride shouldn’t cost a penny more than a subway or bus ride. We’ve got a bill to cap e-bike fees at $3 and end Citi Bike-flation.
