I went to see it with a non-reader and she was confused in the end how anything was even solved

It was like the story was playing at 300% speed until they reached Rocky, then they waste time in some invented screen room where they sit on the beach

Like what the fuck was that, where's the hard sci-fi you're supposed to be adapting

Please read the book! It's one of my favorites, really fantastic

Visuals beautiful, but taking a fantastic sci-fi with an optimistic story about the world coming together and discarding that theme to make it mostly a comedy is insane
