Note: don't feed the donkeys. They are a wild herd managed by the BLM and have very specific diets and they are incredibly susceptible to bloat if they get too much non approved food in their diets. There is approved food for them you can buy in Oatman.

Chaotic doesn't quite do justice to the tone. Frantic and hilarious. Dan Levy is superb. *chef's kiss*

This is really taking a long time. My feed, and a couple of feeds I follow are dead for the time being. Hopefully it's resolved soon.

Yes, I know the #Route66 feed is down. It's being worked on, presumably. No ETA for when we can resume getting our kicks on Route 66. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for working so diligently! Any idea if there's an ETA?

I've traveled all over the US and driven most of Route 66. These quirky towns and cities are worth the stop. As someone who's traveled across the US, I love quirky towns and cities. My favorite Route 66 stops include Oatman, Arizona, and Amarillo, Texas.

I'm struggling to find the words to describe my absolute fury over this. So much rot and destruction from this administration. But what can be done can also be undone with the right people in place.

I actually have an uncredited cameo! Lol They caught me in the background of a shot in the Fudge Factory (we just were in there buying stuff). Stopped in on a whim and they were filming.

Michael Kilgore (@Carload@socel.net) Few things make me happier than discovering a new drive-in theater. But sometimes those new discoveries are edge cases. Was a Tulsa church's drive-in just off Route 66 a real drive-in theater, or something else? #Route66 #drivein #driveins #Tulsa https://carload.com/2026/03/was-this-another-route-66-drive-in/

Jason Rehmus📚 (@jason@pnw.zone) Going on a #RoadTrip this summer? Thinking about #Route66 sights? “Our primary hope is that travelers walk away with a sense of connection rather than just consumption. We want them to see Route 66 not just as a strip of asphalt connecting Chicago to L.A., but as a cultural pathway through a diverse landscape of sovereign nations.” https://ictnews.org/news/indigenous-nations-serve-as-the-heartbeat-of-route-66/

The food was absolutely amazing. We shared a fried green bean appetizer. I had the Grilled Halibut with Lemon Dill sauce. My husband had the buffalo chicken Horseshoe. Salad and soup bar came with our meals. They have a sizeable selection of desserts.

Stopped for dinner at the Ariston Cafe in Litchfield, MO. Did NOT disappoint. The food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10. Highly recommend.

Also, it's the oldest continuously running diner on #Route66 .
