This Saturday I am looking forward to playing rollocking dance music with my pals in Narthen. Saturday 29th March 2025.

It’s so upsetting . Totally agree
Sometimes, when I just want to work on my embouchure, I find writing tune keeps me playing for longer than if I were just practicing. Whilst it's good for my mouth muscles etc I now feel like I've been smacked in the mouth! :)😀
I feel lucky to escape the world from time to time. Don't get me wrong, I feel it necessary to keep up to date with what's happening but also love it when I get respite. Music transcends but being the type of musician I am, I often comment on what's going on around me all be it not always overtly
Having great fun at the St Ives school of painting. I can't say I was feeling my post, a wee bit over tired post Ritoximab injection, which always tires me...but who cares. Lovely day and off for a nice meal tonight .
Beautiful morning in Devon on the way to Cornwall for a painting course.
Coming up National Youth folk ensemble performances . Thursday 20th Feb, Sunderland. Cecil Sharpe house Thursday 10th April and Friday 11th April Friends Meeting House Oxford as part of Oxford Folk Festival.

A beautifu knife that was used to stab the haggis. It has a tiny knife and fork as part of it. A beautiful, if potentially lethal object. I ‘saxed’ in the haggis last night.
John it was an amazing band to become part of. I count myself as very fortunate. Thanks for your comment.
I got given a jellycat snowball in my stocking at Christmas . How can a round blob with eyes and legs look so cute…. I’m losing it pals obvs.
Home safe and wow…what a difference in temperature from Venice. Fire in and here before the snow.
This popped up in memories. Fraser Sisters in full vocal flight. Lewes folk club I think.
Despite being borderline dyslexic I have reviewed and written well crafted reviews and articles for Froots in the past and Trad Mag. X
Photos from one of my favourite train journeys. Just waiting for the direct train now to Broughty Ferry. Unfortunately my favourite train ride today made me feel quite travel sick and it doesn’t usually. Quite glad I have a break between trains.

Russell building Haematology. I spent a lot of time here over the last 11 years. It is both comforting and a scary place to have to come.
What do you think? Smiling or none smiling for preference .
Looking forward to doing the Narthen gig at Shakespeares.
My log man decided he was coming at 7.30 am. I woke at 6 and, after breakfast, thermalled up and set to. I quite enjoyed it and the only bit that was cold were my feet despite two pairs of socks and good walking boots. Good sky at that time in the morning too.
About 1974 I’m guessing
Not quite finding my way round yet
About 15 sat in a garden in Brittany
Living in a valley this scene of snow cover is actually very rare. I guess that’s because valleys are warmer…. And no doubt why there is snow rather than ice this morning.
