I've been debating whether or not to talk about this here, but I guess I don't see much point in keeping it a secret, either.
I received a cancer diagnosis yesterday. On the bright side, it's a type of cancer with a high survival rate, but... it's still cancer.
I'm scared but staying positive.
A quick heads up, I'm taking a break over the weekend, so sadly no weekly stream, BUT BUT BUT

So today was consult day, and while the surgeon was much, much kinder than expected, the news received was upsetting. They took a 3D scan of my mouth to attain a full assessment of what is happening inside of there, and to see just how deep and what direction the errant tooth is facing. The scans revealed the following: The upper wisdom tooth cannot be removed, it’s too deep in my head and removing it would create a wound of unreasonable size as it was put to me. It still needs to come out, but now it is a waiting game to see when it shifts/moves far enough so they can get to it. They are keeping an eye on the teeth around it, as there is pressure being put on them. More importantly I still need surgery, due to the tooth shard mentioned prior. The 3D scans showed pockets of infection/damaged tissue around not only the left over tooth but the back molar as well. This tissue is over two years old, and it was impressed upon me that I am very lucky this was caught, due to potential spread, specifically to the heart. I will be okay, we move forward in two weeks with antibiotics and a surgery date to correct it.
The next update to the teeth/face surgery saga. I'm going to be honest, I am deeply upset at what I found out. But everything is listed in the images, alt text provided, and ko-fi goal linked.
