We had a terrific symposium on "evolution of symbiosis, insects, and bacteria" this past saturday, with many former members of the Moran/Ochman lab. I'm grateful to all of them.

Thanks for posting and sharing this Claus. I have a grant that was suppose to be reviewed in this study section. :( I really hope it does end up getting reviewed by the panel!!! This is so depressing.

Do you know anything about the process by which study sections get cancelled? Is it on the day of? The day before? I'm scheduled to be on the GVE study section this Thursday. I wonder whether it'll meet. So far no indication it won't.
